it turned into a major catastrophe.
Shepard and Will had a morning break from school and they were riding around the property on the golf cart - major fun for little boys - until the turn they made "malfunctioned" and the golf cart along with two little boys ended up in the pond. No one saw it happen. No one knew. Until they came to the house crying and soaking wet. No injuries... just a drowned golf cart. Praise the Lord for His protection! Shepard showed enormous character and presence of mind to get Will out of the pond quickly. His thoughts seemed to be primarily to protect his little brother (who can't swim). We are so grateful for that.
They were a little shook up over the incident, but we all shared big praises to the Lord that night that everyone was safe.
Our kind neighbors came over to help... they have been really good to help us out whenever we get in a pinch.
The boys wrapped up in towels and watched Dad get the golf cart out of the pond from a distance. They were still shaken up.
John had to swim out to get the seat...
p.s. The golf cart has been repaired now and we can use it again!
(But the little guys haven't shown any interest in riding yet.)
