Josiah's Last Upwards Soccer Season

It's been a great season! Josiah loved it!

Today was the last game and we're sad to see it go...

Shepard's 9th Birthday Weekend

He had a big weekend! Lots of celebrating for this sweet boy!

On a Friday night we had a few families over for a bonfire and outdoor movie... so fun!

(And of course, cookie cake!)

Love these kids! So thankful for great friends!

Lighting those candles in the wind was a little tough. :)

We salvaged a bit of birthday cookie cake from the day before and had this on his actual birthday.

One of our new fun traditions... the goofy pose! (I think these pictures are going to be my faves... especially when we look back years from now cuz I already love it!)

The next day we were at Ken and Shelley's celebrating all the most recent birthdays... Shep, Catherine and Shelley.

Love getting this group picture for each birthday and watching the kids grow!

More fun this weekend when Grandma and Grandpa came with a birthday gift!

Shep got a new baby chicken

This sweet boy's most favorite thing is baby animals! He was so excited to get a new baby chicken last weekend.

We love it because it has feathered feet! Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's grown. Shepard spends lots of his free time just holding and playing with "Fuzzy Feet".

Shepard wears a hat most of the time lately because he's letting his hair grow out from his buzz cut... mostly because he has to for the upcoming Christmas Carol play, but he's also wanting to see if he likes it better longer.

(It's hard to grow out a buzz!!) :)

Growing Kids Sale Fall 2013

Just like that... it came and went. The sale is over and we are still recuperating. Our family seems more tired this time. But it was good!

I celebrated my birthday at the sale this year.

John was so sweet and surprised me with a big ol' cookie cake and lots of balloons. It did make the day seem a little more festive!

Josiah had an opportunity to work a new position for a little while... door security!

And Shepard worked in the concession stand again with his cousins. They did a fundraiser for a precious little boy named Fulton who suffered major burn injuries. Fulton brought them some gifts one afternoon and we got this picture.
