Gum

What would a day be without a little drama?! Just when it's time to
put on soccer uniforms and go to practice - tonight is picture night
too - I discover that Shep has been pretending to be a zombie by
wrapping his gum around his face and all the way around the back of
his head. And it's been there awhile so it's STUCK. Ouch! It's all in
the baby hairs at the base of his neck.

I really don't think he will want to do that again. :)

Shepard's birthday is coming...

I took some pictures of Shepard the other day getting ready for his upcoming birthday...  this is one of my favorites!

And this one makes me smile!!

My Mom's Birthday

I love this picture of me and my mom!  The boys and I went to visit her recently close to her birthday.
Happy Birthday, Mom!

Pictures from Josiah's Baptism

This was such an incredible experience!  After Josiah's salvation, he decided that he would like to be baptized by his dad in the pond at our farm.
So, we managed to gather all our family (in the midst of the Growing Kids Sale) for the event.
We had a cookout (which reminded us of the celebratory feast that the father gave for the prodigal son in the scripture story - only ours was just burgers). :)  We were so glad to share that meal with our families in thanksgiving of Josiah's decision.
Then we headed over to the pond at sunset...

That smile says it all!

The Wasson Men

Everybody!
We were so glad to share this day with our family - all the "Wassons" and "Willoughbys".
My brother-in-law, Grant, was sweet to take a picture with me in it... below.
Then some sweet cookie cake to finish the celebration...

Thank you, Lord!

Josiah's Baptism

This is my FAVE picture!!
I'm going to try to post the rest tomorrow, but this one definitely seemed to captured the moment.
I'm still playing catch up a bit after the Growing Kids Sale...  hopefully I'll get my blog updated soon!

Farm Eggs

Our chickens are beginning to lay eggs!  This is our very first one in Josiah's hands.
It's so FUN to find eggs!
We are still getting really excited over each one we find.  The "finder" takes it around like show and tell for everyone to see.
We had our first batch of fresh farm eggs for breakfast this morning.  YUM!!  We even did a taste test and compared it to our store bought eggs.  Fresh farm eggs won hands down!
I REALLY LOVE simple joys!

The GKS Fall Sale is over now and we started back to school this week.  Life is beginning to feel a little more normal again.  I've got several blog posts to catch up on...  soon.
