My Birthday

42 years old today.

Very blessed!

 

The boys talked me into getting donuts for my birthday cake!

 

And then there was the gift parade! 

Seriously, "heart" this tradition!  Look at those cute boys coming around the corner!

 

 

And this is me...  loving 42... and wearing my new necklace from my sweet hubby!

I REALLY "heart" him!!!

 

 

It was a good day and I was thankful for the time with my family. 

Tomorrow the Growing Kids Sale starts - but we still managed to squeeze in some birthday stuff today - and I enjoyed this special day!

August Birthdays

Last weekend we celebrated the August birthdays with the Wasson side of the family.

I made these cake pops for Will's part of the party...

(John helped me get them finished by dipping them in the icing.  That man can do anything and I love him like crazy!)  Okay, back to the cake pops!  Aren't they fun?!?

 

And, Will was so excited to share the cake pops with his cousins at the party!

 

 

Then we had yummy ice cream cake for me and Kim.

I really enjoy sharing birthdays!!

 

It was a very BLESSED day!

I've had my camera out lately.  Practicing mostly.  And Will is willing to let me take pictures of him.  So, here are some of my latest favorites of him.

My sheep know my voice...

Or in our case, they know John's whistle.

And they come running when he whistles now.

It is so fun to watch.

I noticed John one evening watching his sheep, so I snuck up and snapped this photo from behind. He immediately turned around and caught me snapping his picture, but I had already captured this. He just smiled.

... is just a matter of perspective.

To our youngest, it's a playground paradise!

He spends lots of time making roads and driving cars in this dirt.





Will David is 5!

Our Will David turned 5 last week!

He was very exited about it!  And we had a blast celebrating his special day!

We declared the day a "Wasson Holiday"... so no school for anyone that day!  Everyone loved that!

Will chose his favorite local pizza place for lunch - Cavanaugh Pizza.  YUM.  Then we came home and opened presents and had some cookie cake.

A new sword from Josiah...  what Wasson boy doesn't like a new sword?!?

Shepard gave him his DS... he was pretty excited to finally have one!

I love this picture!  And Will sure loves his Dad!!

Here he is all dressed up in his new gear!

Maybe the highlight of his day was going to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner!

He loved the singing animals on stage!  All the games!  And when he saw Chuck E. walking around, he ran after him calling "Chuck E, Chuck E"...  Will was a little nervous, but he really wanted to see him and get a hug.  A perfect photo op for Mom.

He's so proud to tell everyone that he is 5 now.

And we are SO proud of our little guy.  He adds so much fun and spice to life!  He's a delight!

Back to School

This week was Back to School at the Wasson house!

The only one of us who was actually very excited about it was Will...

because he is finally big enough to be in school like his brothers!

And so far he is a very exuberant little learner!

Last night on the spur of the moment we went outside and took some "back to school" pictures...

can you believe I put them in "fall clothes" in this July heat wave?  But yesterday evening it actually cooled off a little (that just means it wasn't sweltering) so we took advantage of it.

One night the kids had a special dinner where they got to dress up.  Shep's was a "hoedown" and Will's was a "hero" party.
